What happened?

Expected behaviour
When an image is trashed, the trash counter in the sidebar should increase.

Actual behaviour
When an image is trashed, the trash counter in the sidebar remains the same.

This bug was incorrectly identified as the cause being images in folders. This was actually caused by images with uppercase file extensions.
